October 2007
Heat From a DeadStar should record 12 new songs in January.
Those who were at the last gig at The Bull and Gate have heard some
of the new tracks.
The guy you saw drumming with HFADS is Ptr. He is now the full time
drummer of the band.
Enjoy the next shows!
HFADS is playing in the next two months at the following venues:
* Lark In The Park, London (10/11/07)
* The Forum, Tunbridge Wells (11/11/07)
* The Dry Bar, London (24/11/07)
* The Fabrik, Sardaigna (07/12/07)
* The Dublin Castle, London (12/12/07)
More details in the Tour Section.
It has been for some time now that we have been talking about the next recording.
Now we have more details for you:
The band will record the first album in January 08 in Chicago, at the Electrical Audio studio
(Steve Albini's studio) with Bob Weston (Shellac, Mission of Burma) as the sound engineer
and Rick Harte as the producer.
"Ace of Hearts released terrific albums by the aforementioned bands and others, but it's really
the 25 tunes here that had the most impact. In particular, Mission of Burma's "Academy Fight
Song" backed with "Max Ernst" and the Lyres' "I Want to Help You Ann" with "I Really Want
You Right Now" had nationwide repercussions, fueling the post-punk era and the second coming
of garage rock."
Another remix of one of our songs is available now. The remix of "Black Swans" by Fear Falls
Burning is one of the tracks of the new Times of Grace sampler.
This is the third issue of the fanzine which has been released in the beginning of the month.
Details at timesofgrace.com.
It's been a while...
The band is working on the album and that got them pretty busy as the recording is
scheduled for mid-January 08. More details soon.
However, since a lot of things happened lately, it was time for us to come back to you.
We have 4 new "The Lighthouse" reviews (see the Press Section for details)
Heat From a DeadStar will be playing next months at The Pleasure Unit (14th of June, London),
at Lark in The Park (7th of July, London) and at The Forum (8th of July, Tunbridge Wells).
Don't miss the shows!
All details can be found in the Tour Section.
Other dates will be announced soon!
April 2007
The first two EPs from the band, "Heat From a DeadStar" and "Lighten Our Minds"
are now available on iTunes Store.
The song "Being Less Than Being" is included in the double LP compilation called "Music Fear Satan Vol. 1", which will soon be released by E-vinyl Records.
Heat From a DeadStar's lineup has recently changed with the come back of one
of the first drummers who joined the band, Jln.
If the spirit of HFADS is not going to be altered in any way, the interpretation as
well as the compositions can only benefit from the presence of a new drummer,
moreover if this drummer is "fitting in".
HFADS (in its finalised form) will play on April 10th in London. If you're curious
to see how it sounds like, all information are in the Tour Section.
Heat From a DeadStar will play on the 8th of February (this thursday) at The Montague
Arms in London with The Bert Shatf Orchestra, Snatch and Mitten. The night is organized
by Sump Puppy (thanks Andy!).

Heat From a DeadStar's new record called "The Lighthouse" will be out next month.
Three new tracks called "Elusive Ways", "Joan" and "The Lighthouse" are mastered
this month by Tim Branton in
Joćo Carvalho Mastering Studio.
These new tracks are
more intense, more dark and more catchy... The fourth track is a remix version of
"Black Swans" (originally on "Lighten Our Minds") from
Re:dux tion.
You can already have a listen to "Elusive Ways" (rough version) and the "Black Swans"
remix on
our myspace page.
We thanks Dave Flindall (
Juxprose.com) who provides
the original picture of the cover.
For non-professionals, the CD will be available from
March 07. We wanted to release something out before the entire album that will be
recorded this year... Because our music constantly evolves, we thought it was a good
idea to let you know.
